Kuwait Chemical Manufacturing Company (KCMC) is a 100% owned United Oil Projects subsidiary specializing in the production and marketing of quality synthetic resins for the coatings, inks, adhesives and composite industries.

Standing on a 28,000 m2 plot in the Mina Abdullah industrial area, KCMC's ISO 9001 plant has a production capacity of 10,000 metric tonnes per year and is one of the most modern self-contained facilities of its’ type in the Middle East.

Traditionally KCMC products have included unsaturated polyester resins for the glass reinforced composite market together with alkyd resins for industrial and architectural coatings manufacture. At the outset, technology was licensed from international companies. However, in the intervening years, KCMC has progressed to the point where we now develop our own resins that are both cost and technologically competitive with imported materials – all backed by full customer service functions. KCMC also does not suffer from the economic pressures of large scale manufacture inherent in multinational companies allowing resins to be tailored to meet specific customer needs and market requirements.

Participation in regional trade shows has increased the company’s exposure and opened new markets not only in the Arabian Peninsula but also Europe and the African continent.

Over the past 18 months KCMC has expanded its’ product range to cater for niche resin markets requiring more technologically advanced resins with the introduction of hydroxyl and thermoplastic acrylics, saturated polyesters and urethane resins amongst others.
